Interested in the field of Mathematical Genetics?

/ Guildford / Online

The 51st European Mathematical Genetics Meeting (EMGM) will be held at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK and online on 20th and 21st April 2023.

This annual meeting offers an informal environment to exchange ideas on the use of mathematical techniques in the field of genetics. The 2023 edition will put an emphasis on the use of Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data approaches for multi-omic data, from humans and other species, with the highlighted theme “Bringing ML/AI into genomics and multi-omics for health and well-being”.

EMGM focuses on methods and applications in a broad range of topics in mathematical and statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology including: population genetics, complex trait genetics, causal inference, trait prediction and personalised health, integrative omics, imputation / fine-mapping / rare variants, gene-, tissue- and pathway-enrichment, family-based data and multi-trait methods, ML/AI approaches for omics.

Organising and Scientific Commitee Member Professor Inga Prokopenko says:

“The meeting offers a friendly and informal environment, a great place to showcase your latest work, hear what’s happening and meet other people in the mathematical and statistical genetics field.”
